A recently completed rennovation. The original shower was compromised due to inadequate waterproofing paired with improper installation resulting in mold growth on the ceiling and a disintegrating substrate on the exterior walls. This project required demolition down to the studs and subfloor, followed by mold remediation, the installation of new windows, insulation, v***r barrier and waterproof substrate. To manage moisture levels within this sizable installation, a tiled ceiling, ventilation fan, duct work and soffit vent were also incorporated. The shower pan was constructed with 1/2" durock and drypack mortar followed by topical waterproofing and a 24 hour flood test.
