Whole home after remodel pics. After removing 2 (and some places 3) layers of carpet, 3 layers of linoleum, paneling, removing popcorn ceiling texture and everything broken and dilapidated, here’s the breakdown of dragging this house into the 21st century:
Removed paneling and popcorn texture, fixed holes, hid plumbing pipes previously exposed (from when indoor plumbing became a thing)knockdown texture and new paint everywhere.
New carpet and padding in bedrooms, living room, and stairs.
New vinyl plank flooring in kitchen, bathroom, dining room, entry foyer.
New linoleum in back entry/laundry room.
New cabinets, countertop, sink, mosaic tile backsplash, and faux pressed tin ceiling in kitchen.
New light fixtures, switches, and outlets everywhere. Found an antique lamp and refurbished it add to the living room.
New bedroom doors and bedroom closet doors.
Front porch/sunroom painted. Slip resistant paint put on floor. Brick walls painted for a “whitewash” look.
1/2 bath custom cabinet installed. Upcyled old door behind cabinet for additional layer of privacy glass. Custom corner sink added for additional leg room.
Basement walls and ceiling drywalled, textured, and painted. Recessed lighting added (to replace the old pull string light fixtures).
I did leave the original front door alone. Cleaned it up, adjusted to close better, replaced threshold, but for a 120 year old door, it still has a lot of life to give and adds character.
