As a small town business Shepherd's Garage was established in 1945 in Jackson Montana by Jack Shepherd and was first started as a repair and welding shop for local ranchers. As son, Richard Shepherd took over the garage it changed into a manufacturing facility for agriculture businesses, machinery designed on site by Richard Shepherd, which called for expansion and more employees. Working as a duo

Richard Shepherd and, his son, David Shepherd, worked endlessly to bring to the ranchers the very best work and services they could ask for. The trademark for Shepherd's Garage was the wiliness to get whatever job done for the ranchers at any time of day. As the old machinery died and new efficient equipment became available, it called for a new change in the business after over 40 successful years. In 2000, Shepherd's Garage became a MacDon dealer, Belarus dealer, Vermeer dealer, and Valtra dealer, which continued to propel Shepherd's Garage to a new level when a new branch was started in Dillon Montana in 2006. We now carry Massey Ferguson, Agco, MacDon, Vermeer, Highline, and deal with all other tractor parts. Still headed by Richard Shepherd, Shepherd's Garage has become the ultimate family business with now over now with over 10 employees over half of them being family. We continue looking forward to bringing you the best in service and support in Beaverhead County for many years to come.
