There’s plenty of things to do with your surplus produce. I love making sauces and salsa but one of our clients used her dehydrator to make her own homemade sun-dried tomatoes. Hand picked produce seasoned with fresh herbs from the garden. You can use an oven also and of course, the sun. I’m excited to try this myself this season.

I mix my soil with the existing earth found on my land which has a lot of natural clay in it. I use this soil after to filter out large pieces of debris and clay. I use a mini one I made to sift the soil for seed starting.

Just getting excited to do some baking with this seasons harvest. Homemade vanilla almond pear tart on a gf vegan shortbread crust topped with our homemade blueberry syrup. Pears and blueberries came from our own backyard! It doesn’t get much fresher than that.

Hopefully yesterday was the last snow storm for Long Island because the raspberries are ready for summer.

This is one of our clients simple indoor nursery. After getting him set up with a he now starts all his plants from seed. When the plants get too big for the seed starter tray he transfers them to plastic cups.

Patience is a virtue. Last year was our first season for fruit on one of our clients grapevine. This year she plans to make her own wine.
