Enrollment for CNU 29 is now open. As was done last year, the Congress this year will be digital. While I understand that we would all like to actually be getting together in person, safety dictates that we do this remotely. However, as an offset to that disappointment, I am appreciative that we are pushing forward and having our Congress this year. There are a couple of benefits and opportunities to this being remote. The big one, which I want to focus on, is my failure to convince people who are doing important work to actually take the time and commit to the expense of traveling to the Congress. Too often my suggestion to the people who are doing the important work on the ground in places like New Rochelle and Poughkeepsie is met with resistance simply because it would mean having to commit to being away from family and work for a week. With the Congress digital this year, you can attend and hear what others are doing, as well as contribute your experience and knowledge while sitting at home. The fee for attendance has also been reduced significantly, making it easier for more people to commit. If anyone would like to attend, but is limited financially, please let me know and I will see what I can do. There are scholarships and the attendence fee should never be the reason that someone cannot attend. To sign up or learn more, please go to www.cnu.org.
For the 21st year, CNU's Charter Awards will recognize outstanding achievements in architectural, landscape, and urban design and planning worldwide.
