It’s a Family Thing
20 years ago Jim was working with his friend, mentor and long time carpenter Luther Johnson. Together they built several homes in Dodgeville and the surronding area. in 2005 Luther decided it was time to retire and Jim decided to get into the real estate business, now selling homes instead of building them. Jim and his wife Patti purchased Arthur Real Estate and continue to own and operate that buisness.
In 2015 a friend approched Jim about buying a small little bugalow in Dodgeville from an elderly lady that needed to move to a care facility. Jim and Patti had flipped a few houses over the years and saw this as another great opportunity. It was all in the timimg really. Jim and Patti’s son, Carson was between jobs and came onboard for the flip. Jim and Carson worked together to completely remodel the cute little home. It took about a year. After that experience Carson thought he had found a new love in carpentry and decided to get into the construction business. He went to work for a business in Cuba City for a few years. Once Carson felt he had some good experience under his belt, he approached his dad about getting back into construction.
It seemed like a good time to give it a try and it fit well with the real estate business. In January 2018 J&C Handyman was born. It’s been fun working together again. Jim and Carson really enjoy the work and hope if you are looking for handyman services from small to big give them a call.
