NOW HIRING! A&L Electric is looking for a Working Foreman only. The Foreman will run commercial and residential jobs. Must be willing to travel and stay overnight out of town for commercial work. All jobs are no greater than 5 hours from Douglas/Carroll County Georgia. Must be knowledgeable in reading commercial & residential electrical plans. Must be able to do material take-offs. The Foreman will be working with tools while running a small on-site crew. We are offering competitive wages equal to union wages. Will need proof of working as a foreman with references and will hold an in-person interview of site plans.

Make sure you’re staying warm this week. Most importantly stay safe and use these tips while using space heaters!

Power strips and extension cords are not equipped to handle this extra current flow, and can consequently cause a potential fire.

Make sure your smoke detectors are working. Test them regularly and remember to keep the batteries replaced every 6 months. The National Fire Protection Office states you should replace your smoke tectors every ten years max.

Responsibilities for Electrician

Install, maintain, and enhance electrical systems and components, including fuses, lights, and wiring
Inspect, test, and diagnose issues with electrical systems and components
Perform all work in a manner that meets and follows electrical codes, blueprints, and standards
Test electrical systems and components to ensure proper functioning
Complete required documentation of repairs and service information
Ensure adequate inventory of necessary supplies and parts
Calibrate equipment to provided specifications
Peform preventative maintenance on electrical systems and components
Troubleshoot problems and make timely repairs
Qualifications for Electrician

3-5 years of electrical experience
Valid driver's license in state of practice, clean driving report. Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds
Ability to bend, climb, squat, reach, and kneel
Comfortable reading and understanding electrical blueprints, schematics, and diagrams
Working knowledge of, materials, and equipment
Demonstrated ability to operate hand and power tools associated with electrical work
Ability to calculate basic mathematical problems
Willing to work overtime

Must be willing to provide job references, and personal references before hire.

Pay will be based off of experience and ability to verify and show experience by performance.
