Opening up this over grown field over taken by briars and Bradford pears. Found a really nice persimmon patch in the mess and was able to open it up for the wildlife.

As many people as you ask to define success that’s probably how many different answers you’ll get. Had a landowner send me this video and to me this is one of the greatest videos of what success looks like. Habitat can always get better but this is a good indicator of some really good habitat and I know this place is only gonna get better speaking with the landowner.

If you spend any time with me talking habitat fires gonna come up at some point if not right away. So getting to put in some fire breaks in preparation for a burn to get this place ready for dove season got me really excited. The landowner told me to keep an eye out for quail. I never seen any but I sure heard them and I know they’re excited about this burn too. Whether it’s just burn prep or full on fire I’d be happy to help.

Picture skills were definitely not up to par today so I apologize but spent about half the day expanding and clearing a food plot along with cutting the trail out to it. I also mulched the top of the hill and leveled for a future chicken run and coop but forgot to grab pictures. If there’s any farm chores or wildlife needs you have I’d be happy to help. 931-627-3152
