During Construction Inclusion Week, we’re recognizing the work it takes to make those opportunities real. We’re proud to support veterans as they bring their leadership, teamwork, and problem-solving skills into the next chapter of their careers. Meet Aidan Rouse, a Reality Capture & BIM intern from Wheaton, Illinois, currently studying at the University of Cincinnati.

Aidan has been supporting our Starbucks and TPG programs through PC uploading and editing while gaining more exposure to the work behind multi-site programs. He’s also developed a growing interest in architecture and residential design.

Outside of work, you’ll find Aidan lifting, bowling, watching sports or a good movie, and spending time with friends and family.

His favorite part of Sevan is the people. Aidan says having great managers and coworkers has made his experience here one to remember.

Airport projects add a degree of complexity not normally found in traditional construction work. The terminal is typically still operating, which means passengers are moving through the building, businesses are serving customers, and security requirements remain in place. Due to these conditions, airport projects require additional stages of planning to ensure overall project success.

Access, staging, deliveries, and work sequencing must account for the airport environment. Requirements for each of these are different from normal construction projects. Work in the airport must also be aligned with the governing authority, just as normal work requires alignment with the property owner.

We have supported work in active airport environments by helping our clients coordinate details that can directly affect schedule and ex*****on. In an airport, a primary question to answer is: "How does the work get built efficiently and safely while everything around it keeps moving?"
