We got a call a few weeks ago from a Malvern resident who was frustrated when his Wood Chip Mulch would wash out during any moderate rain. He had a sloped hillside with a few drainage pipes that would carry his hardwood mulch down into a gully then down the street and into King St.

We installed our Pine Straw for him and it immediately eliminated the problem. One of the greatest benefits of Pine Straw is the blanket it creates over your soil when the longleaf needles lock together. This blanket lets air, water, and nutrients easily pass through to your soil while staying in place during hard rain or wind.
