Midnight Oil Helianthus 🌸
Pink sunflowers are generally easy to grow and care for, similar to other sunflower varieties. They require full sun, ideally 6-8 hours of direct sunlight daily. Prefer well-drained, moderately fertile soil with a neutral to alkaline pH and attract bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds, promoting biodiversity in your garden.

Historic Rose Garden District
Opened: 1937

Designed by John McLaren (Hanchett Residence Park/Hester Park, Golden Gate Park, Lithia Park)

The garden was founded on 20 November 1927, when San Jose City Council set aside 5 1/2 acres of an 11–acre tract of land for a rose garden. Its creation had been championed by the Santa Clara County Rose Society.

One of our favorite places. ❤️ 🩷 💛

SISKIYOU lewisia (Lewisia cotyledon) is an evergreen perennial native to the Siskiyou mountains of Northern California and Southern Oregon. This plant has fleshy, spoon-shaped leaves, arranged in flat rosettes. The flowers are 1 inch across, and have sunset tones. These pollinator plants attract bees and butterflies.

Their tolerance of rocky, well-draining soils makes them an excellent choice for rock gardens, dry borders, or container planting. It flower's best in full sun with occasional summer water, but will also tolerate part-shade when grown at low elevations. Do not over water. This strain is deer resistant and drought tolerant as well.

RED HOT POKER 'Kniphofia' ❤️💛💚
Vertical flower spikes in colorful bright hues of red, orange, yellow add drama to any summer border. Deer will avoid Kniphofia due to the sharp edges of the grass-like foliage. Red Hot Poker does well in full sun, has an upright clumping habit, grows to 6' tall x 3'' wide.
