This rough-sawn timber carport was carefully designed to complement architectural elements found within the main home, creating a natural connection between the indoor and outdoor spaces.

One of the challenges with this carport was determining the exact size and scale needed to make it truly functional for the homeowners. We had to account for fitting a vehicle comfortably into the first parking space while also allowing enough room for the proper turning radius.

That meant carefully evaluating the available space, removing a small pear tree and making adjustments along the way to ensure everything worked exactly as it should.

It’s not just about building a beautiful carport—it’s about thinking ahead and making sure it works seamlessly for the homeowners every single day.

Today we’re celebrating 6 years of Dan at Lakeside! 🎉

Dan isn’t just an important part of Lakeside—he’s my (Steve’s) oldest brother.

After serving our country in the military and then spending a career in law enforcement, Dan joined us in August 2020 as a Lead Carpenter. Over the last six years, he’s grown into his role as our Project Manager, and I honestly couldn’t imagine this company without him.

If you know Dan, you know. He is one of the most loyal, selfless and hardworking people you’ll ever meet. He gives everything he has to the job, to our team, to our clients and, above all else, to his family. He’s the kind of person you can always count on, no questions asked.

And this year, he added one more very important title to the list… Pop-Pop. ❤️

Dan, thank you for six years of showing up, working hard, having our backs and caring about Lakeside as if it were your own—because in so many ways, it is. I’m incredibly grateful that I get to call you my brother, but I’m just as grateful to have you beside me every day at Lakeside.
