β˜€οΈ Sunday Morning Homeowner Tip

Before the week starts, take 2 minutes to test the GFCI outlets in your home.

These are commonly found in:

βœ… Bathrooms

βœ… Kitchens

βœ… Garages

βœ… Basements

βœ… Outdoor locations

Simply press the "Test" button and then the "Reset" button. If the outlet doesn't trip or won't reset, it may not be providing the protection it's designed for.

GFCI outlets help protect your family from electrical shock and are one of the most important safety devices in your home.

A quick test today can give you peace of mind all year long. ⚑🏠

β˜€οΈ Saturday Afternoon Project Spotlight

A lot of homeowners don't realize how much they rely on electricity until something stops working.

Whether it's a tripping breaker, an outlet that suddenly stops working, flickering lights, or a panel that's showing its age, small electrical issues can be early warning signs of larger problems.

Taking care of electrical repairs early is often safer, less stressful, and less expensive than waiting for an emergency.

If you've been putting off an electrical project, today is a great day to get it checked off the list. ⚑🏠

β˜€οΈ Saturday Morning Homeowner Tip

Take a quick walk around the outside of your home this weekend and look at your electrical equipment.

Check for:

βœ… Damaged outdoor outlets

βœ… Missing outlet covers

βœ… Loose light fixtures

βœ… Exposed wiring

βœ… Rust on your electric meter or service equipment

Catching small issues early can help prevent larger repairs and keep your home safer year round.

A 5 minute inspection today could save you from an unexpected electrical problem tomorrow.

Need something looked at? We're here to help.

❓ Friday FAQ ❓

How do I know if I need a panel upgrade?

A panel upgrade may be worth considering if:

⚑ Your breakers trip frequently

⚑ Your panel is full or nearly full

⚑ You’re adding an EV charger, hot tub, or mini split

⚑ Your lights dim when appliances turn on

⚑ Your electrical panel is 25+ years old

A panel upgrade can improve safety, reliability, and provide room for future electrical needs.

Not sure if you need one? We’d be happy to evaluate your system and discuss your options.

⚑ Friday Electrical Tip

If a breaker trips, don't keep resetting it over and over.

A breaker is designed to shut off power when it detects a problem. Repeatedly resetting it without finding the cause can damage equipment or create a safety hazard.

Before resetting:

βœ… Unplug anything connected to that circuit

βœ… Reset the breaker once

βœ… Plug items back in one at a time

If the breaker trips again, there's likely an overloaded circuit, a faulty appliance, or an electrical issue that should be investigated.

A breaker that keeps tripping is your electrical system telling you something is wrong.
