The Rocky Mountain Hempstead This is page that will follow our journey (Vladi, Diana and Pavel) of building our dream Hempcrete house in the Colorado Rocky Mountains

It started with a dream to have home in the mountains. It has been almost 7 years since we purchased a piece of land in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado and finally step by step it becomes a reality. We are about to build house using a little known in US material called Hempcrete. It is natural carbon negative material that we believe would make our home more comfortable and that will bring us closer to the nature.

We finally made it to the house yesterday... Our house survived. 25 others didn't... Thanks for all your support and positive thoughts... We even had a feathered tenant in the house... The fire stopped a quarter of a mile away from the house..... We give our appreciation to all firefighters who helped the community!

It's been a while since we have posted an update for the house. We have advanced somewhat. But nature takes turns... A Wild fire started today and it was only 2 miles from our neighborhood. We hope and pray that nature will have mercy on all the people and houses in the area. Keep your positive thoughts and lets all hope for everything to go well....
