CDR Painting, Inc. is more than just a painting company, it’s a legacy.
This company was built from the ground up by my dad, whose passion, work ethic, and pride in his craft shaped everything CDR stands for today. On December 3, 2023, the world lost an incredible man, but his impact lives on in every project, every relationship, and every detail of the work he left behind, across the State of Utah and beyond.
His work can be seen everywhere, from temples to tilt-ups, hospitals to shopping malls, and everything in between. There truly wasn’t anything he couldn’t do. From interior and exterior painting to wallcoverings, graphics, specialty coatings, and epoxy floors, he took pride in his work and doing it right.
As you walk through the new Salt Lake City airport and see the shops and restaurants, many of those projects were my dad’s personal projects he personally completed, installing the graphics etc. himself. His very last project he personally worked on was the Taylorsville Temple. He passed away before the church opened it to the public, but as a family, we were able to walk through it before it was dedicated, it will always be a moment we will never forget.
My dad truly was an amazing man in every way. The talents and gifts God blessed him with were a gift to everyone he came into contact with, and he impacted more lives than he probably ever realized.
More than anything, he was proud of his employees. Together we all helped build CDR Painting into what it is today.
Now, my brother-in-law and I are honored to carry on his legacy. We have been blessed and honored to work by his side every day for the last 20 years and we are committed to upholding the same standards, values, and quality that he built this company on.
For me, this company is very personal. Some of my favorite childhood memories are of him working on beautiful cabins and homes up in Park City, LDS temples, restaurants, and office buildings to large commercial projects like The E Center now known as the Maverik Center. My dad was my superhero and there wasn’t anything he couldn’t do, and he gave everything he had to his work.
