Week 3 - SUMMER ON THE FARM

This bunch of campers kept me busy…. But each one of the stole a piece of my heart!!

This week our campers:

•Learned responsibility and animal care by milking goats and collecting eggs each day.

•Used creativity, teamwork, and basic construction skills to build a goat playground and shelter.

•Observed the life cycle firsthand by watching a turkey lay an egg and discussing where our food comes from.

•Explored nature on a hike while learning observation skills and building confidence outdoors.

•Developed social skills by meeting new friends, working together, and encouraging one another.

•Learned gardening and food production by planting tomatoes and discovering how food grows from seed to harvest.

•Explored plant science and sustainability by starting celery from a stalk and seeing how plants can regrow from kitchen scraps.

•Strengthened creativity and fine motor skills through a variety of hands-on crafts.

•Put their engineering minds to work during our Egg Drop Challenge by designing, testing, problem-solving, and learning that failure is often part of success.

Most importantly, they spent the week building confidence, learning responsibility, working as a team, and discovering that some of the best lessons happen when we get our hands dirty.

Thank you to all the parents and guardians for trusting me with your babies… they had a great time and I enjoyed having them.

Next week we will have SUMMER ON THE FARM: 9-3 Monday - Thursday

We have 6 spots open: deposits are due by Friday of each week.

Summer camp on the farm week 2

These kids have taught me just as much as I taught them this week.

Each week I’m learning how to better the next. I’m so grateful for kids with honest feedback and willingness to step out their comfort zone to do something different.

As long as kids keep showing up I’m willing to have them learning, playing and growing on the farm.

I’m excited to see what week 3 has waiting for us!
