We're grateful for the opportunity to partner with Cairn University in bringing the Building Redemptive Community message to students, ministry leaders, and professionals this week!

At Nehemiah Development Company, we believe building community goes far beyond buildings and development. It's about people, relationships, and creating places where communities can flourish.

Thank you to Cairn University for welcoming us and helping make this meaningful morning possible. We look forward to continuing the conversation!

As we celebrate 250 years of American independence, we're grateful for the freedom to live, work, worship, and invest in the communities we love.

"For you were called to freedom... through love serve one another." Galatians 5:13

At Nehemiah Development Company, we believe one of the greatest ways to honor that freedom is by helping build places where neighbors become friends, businesses thrive, and communities flourish.

Happy Independence Day!

The Plaza: A Story of Redemptive Renewal

Post 6 of 6 - The Plaza, A Story of Redemption

When we acquired The Plaza in September 2024, it had quietly fallen out of step with the life of the town around it.

Vacancy. Deferred maintenance.
A neighborhood center that others had overlooked.
But we saw something worth restoring.

Over the past two years, through careful renovation and thoughtful leasing, The Plaza has been renewed, not reinvented, but restored to serve the community once again.

The Plaza: A Story of Redemptive Renewal

Post 5 of 6 - The Redemptive Model, what we do at NDC

The Plaza reflects something core to how we work at Nehemiah Development Company.

We look for overlooked places with enduring value
We invest with patience and long-term commitment
We restore physically, strengthening the economy and renewing relationships
We partner with investors and communities who share this vision

And over time, places once in decline quietly flourish again.

This is the work of Building Redemptive Community, one property, one street, one town at a time.

We’re grateful for the opportunity to steward The Plaza and to participate in the ongoing renewal of Dublin, PA.

The Plaza: A Story of Redemptive Renewal

Post 4 of 6 - Reweaving the Fabric of Place, a role in the Dublin ecosystem

The Plaza is part of a larger story unfolding in Dublin Town Center.

Just steps from The Square, The Station, and The Lofts at Town Center, this property plays a quiet but important role in the daily rhythm of local life; errands, services, and small routines that anchor community.

Not every place is a destination. Some places are infrastructure for belonging.

By restoring The Plaza, we weren’t creating something new. We were strengthening the fabric of what already exists, ensuring that this everyday place continues to serve residents, businesses, and the town for years to come.

Redemptive community is built not only through landmark projects, but through faithful stewardship of ordinary places.

The Plaza: A Story of Redemptive Renewal

Post 3 of 6 - Strengthening the Tenant Community

Renewal isn’t only physical, it’s relational and economic too.

As part of The Plaza’s repositioning, we had the opportunity to thoughtfully reshape portions of the tenant mix, welcoming businesses that strengthen the daily life of the community and support long-term stability for Dublin Town Center.

Healthy neighborhood retail thrives on the right ecosystem:

Services people rely on

Local ownership

Complementary uses

Consistent activity

When leasing is done with intention, a shopping center becomes more than storefronts.

It becomes a reliable, everyday place in people’s lives.

Today, The Plaza is once again serving Dublin with renewed relevance and resilience.

The Plaza: A Story of Redemptive Renewal

Post 2 of 6 - Transforming What Was There

Over the past two years, The Plaza has undergone a quiet but meaningful transformation.

Exterior renewal, improved storefronts, new roofs, and a fresh identity. A careful investment in the physical environment. Not to reinvent a shopping center, but to restore what was already there.

Because places communicate value. And when a property is cared for, it sends a signal:

This place matters.
These businesses matter.
This community matters.

Today, The Plaza at Dublin Town Center stands renewed, aligned once again with the vitality of the town around it.

Memorial Day reminds us that the places we cherish were protected by the sacrifice of others. Today, we remember with gratitude. 🇺🇸

The Plaza: A Story of Redemptive Renewal

Post 1 of 6 — Seeing the Opportunity...what others overlooked and neglected.

When we first considered the Dublin Shopping Center, it wasn’t hard to see why others had passed it by.

Vacancy. Deferred maintenance. A tired façade. A property that had quietly slipped out of step with the life of the community around it.

But at Nehemiah Development Company, we’ve learned that places like this often carry something deeper; history, location, and the bones of something worth restoring.

We didn’t see a failing shopping center.
We saw a neighborhood asset waiting to be renewed.

So we stepped in, purchasing it in September 2023.

Because Building Redemptive Community often begins this way: seeing potential where others see decline.
