As promised, here is the finished shower! If you missed the before post, scroll down to see where this project started.

This shower is absolutely stunning! The homeowners designed this custom shower themselves, and it may be one of our all-time favorites.

From demolition to the finished product, this was a lengthy process, and we truly appreciate the homeowners' patience and trust throughout every step. It was an honor to help bring their vision to life and create a custom walk-in shower for their beautiful home.

As always, projects like this are a team effort. A huge thank you to Justus Plumbing and A&I Concrete for their professionalism, quality work, and assistance throughout this project. We truly appreciate the opportunity to work alongside such great local contractors.

Most importantly, thank you to the Prather family for trusting Wolston Tile Designs and allowing us to work in your home. We are grateful for the opportunity and hope you enjoy your beautiful new shower for years to come!

If you were involved in building this shower in 2014, please reach out so I can understand what the design intent was.

We were called out to inspect a shower where the floor appeared to be separating vertically, giving the impression that it was collapsing. What we discovered was unexpected.

The shower floor had been constructed starting directly from dirt, with a pan placed on top of the soil. Above that was approximately 4 inches of dirt, followed by a layer of brick, then about 8 inches of concrete reinforced with rebar. Built-in seating was constructed from wood. The wall tile was spot-bonded and came off easily during inspection.

To make matters more unusual, there was also an HVAC supply vent located in the ceiling of the shower area.

We completed this beautiful shower and floor project about a month ago and are finally getting around to sharing it! We've been so busy lately that we're a little behind on posting.

We absolutely love the rich green tile paired with the gold fixtures in this tub surround, such a stunning combination that brings elegance and character to the space.

A huge thank you to the Pharoah family for trusting us with your home. It was truly a pleasure working with you, and we're grateful to have been part of your project!
