9 years ago today I spoke this coyote's language and negotiated him from the wild in efforts to assist a farmer that had been experiencing life and death challenges between these little RiffRaffs and the farmer's cows.

The greater story behind this aside from generously helping a farmer, is the coyote was running 150-175 yards at a dead sprint (no pun intended) while this amazing shooter in the photo (me) had the crosshairs leading about a foot in front of the coyote, tumbling end over end to it's fall and my satisfaction. It took 1 shot, not spraying and praying, 1 shot.

Folks let me break this down for you... shooting (anything) a coyote in front of you with 1 shot, running left to right while sprinting at that distance is a great shot. I had the opportunity to prove my skills to myself a few years later to my success at a greater distance. Haven't had the opportunity since but this photo was a memory to remember.

After eating at Eduardo's we were caught in the parking lot next to the abandoned Sam's Eatery structure by these screaming kittens in need of milk. Probably a couple weeks old, these kittens were obviously abandoned next to hwy 81. Late to our new clients appointment, our Team decided we couldn't just leave them in this location at lunch with cars everywhere. So we put them in a cardboard box, went to Tractor Supply to grabbed 0-6 weeks kitten formula and took them to the clients location for the kittens first mouse job. While they weren't interested in that at all, they got their tums full in the truck and took a fat snooze. After nursing them back to health temporarily, now back to the BJPC Farm house where they took the biggest most comfortable cat nap they've probably ever had. Now they are loving their new best lives!

Oklahoma Striped Bark Scorpion.

According to the Texas A&M Agrilife Extension some species of scorpions can live 20 to 25 years. But most live up to 8 years.
