Another successful industrial restoration project completed by REFF Services!

Our team recently completed an exterior maintenance and painting project at the Lallemand (American Yeast) Plant in Baltimore. The project began with a thorough pressure washing of the exterior siding and overhead ceiling areas to remove years of dirt, grime, and contaminants, creating the proper surface for long-lasting coatings.

After cleaning, we identified rusted areas throughout the structure. Our crew treated the corrosion, performed the necessary surface repairs, and applied high-performance industrial coatings to restore and protect the affected sections of the building.

Honoring America’s 250th Anniversary with a Piece of History

As our nation prepares to celebrate 250 years of American independence this Fourth of July, we are proud to share a project that holds a special place in our company’s history.
REFF Services had the incredible privilege of restoring this historic locomotive and tender, bringing a remarkable piece of American railroad heritage back to life. Known as part of the iconic American Freedom Train legacy, this restoration represents far more than industrial painting. It is about preserving history for future generations.
Over the course of nearly three months, our team carefully removed decades of rust, deteriorated coatings, and surface contaminants before applying a complete industrial coating system featuring Sherwin-Williams epoxy primer and polyurethane finish coats to ensure long-term protection and durability. Every stage of the project required meticulous planning and ex*****on.
We were honored to work alongside FMW Contractors, whose team restored and fabricated the mechanical components while REFF Services completed the exterior restoration and protective coating system.
Today, this beautifully restored locomotive is proudly displayed at the B&O Railroad Museum in Baltimore, where visitors can experience a remarkable symbol of American innovation, perseverance, and craftsmanship.

Our team recently removed and installed a brand-new guardrail at BWI Airport inside the airport’s secured area. Due to the sensitive nature of the project, all work was performed after hours under heavy security es**rt to ensure minimal disruption to airport operations while maintaining the highest level of safety and security.

This project was completed to enhance the protection of airport employees and improve overall site safety. We take pride in delivering high-quality work in secure, high-security environments where precision, professionalism, and reliability are essential.
