Saved a neighbor house from destruction today in CF!

At 5:30 AM yesterday morning, lightning hit this ancient white oak tree. The thunder was heard for miles around like it happened in each of their yards, it was so loud. 😲

1/3 of this white Oak was teetering on disaster so we suspended our emergency services for ultra emergency service and were able to successfully get this massive branch down down on the ground so that the neighbors can sleep more peacefully tonight. 🙏

Huge job at the Denver Sunset Home mostly completed today (stump grinding remains)…sandwiched between morning and late afternoon storm-cleanup. 💪💯

Rainy day photo-sharing catch-up:

We helped at a Habitat house in historic Waterloo
…made the Amazon drivers happier in south Waterloo
…trimmed a tulip tree and rose-bud tree in Waterloo (no tree-related job is too small if it helps people)
…removed some arborvitaes that died out in a privacy fence in Audobon Park
…finally, little Josiah helped me remove a couple arborvitae sets that were planted a little too close to the house 36 years ago in La Porte City. 🌳🌅

We were up in the countryside of Denver, Iowa today trimming and removing trees on the scenic acreage of a previous DEERE workmate.

It was a beautiful day to be in my new “office!“ 😜🌅💯
