About Old Line Construction:

Scope includes but not limited to underground utilities, grading, drainage, and heavy infrastructure projects. We are committed to delivering high-quality work, maintaining strong safety standards, and building lasting relationships with our partners and clients.

Position Summary:
Old Line Construction is seeking a motivated Assistant Field Civil Engineer to support our field operations team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working both in the office and on job sites, assisting with project coordination, inspections, documentation, and engineering support. Must be able to pass drug test and federal background check.

Key Responsibilities
• Assist Chief FE and field supervisors with daily construction activities
• Review plans, specifications, and engineering drawings
• Work with TopCon electronics
• Maintain project documentation, reports, and field logs.
• Support quality control and safety compliance efforts.
• Assist with surveying layout and measurements as needed.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree (or in progress) in Civil Engineering or related field (flexable with experience).
• 1-3 years of construction or engineering experience preferred
• Basic knowledge of utility construction
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Tremble, TooCon or similar software is a plus.
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to work outdoors and visit active construction sites

Vismar (left) has been putting pipe in the ground for 40 years! Dagoberto (right) made foreman fall of 25’. Dagoberto was Vismar’s pipelayer for 3 years before making foreman and now they’re laying pipe together on the same job with their own crews.
