The inaugural Lineback All-American contest didn’t disappoint! We entered 4 and had 3 All-Americans and 1 Reserve! 3 of them homebred and 1 we bought but is out of one of our cows. We’ve worked hard to build a group of Linebacks that look good and perform and we believe this group represents that! Info under the pictures.

For the last few days, we’ve all been seeing posts of everyone’s WI Spring Show (and other spring show) results and the stellar performances for some. I’m not gonna lie and say we had a tremendous spring show, to be honest, it was mediocre for me ( in my mind… there is no tougher critic than you)… Not great, not the worst… and I wanted to be pi**ed about it, until I made a phone call (shocker, I hate phone calls but I wanted to hear about her day)to one of my BEST friends from back east, we’ve been slowly moving some of her jerseys west and trying to get her more exposure out here, we talked over how her day went. Results that some would be disappointed in, she was ELATED on her results and how she stacked up to “those midwestern jerseys.” After we hung up, she sends a text with a picture of the Blue Banners… she had won Premier Exhibitor and Breeder! If I recall, she’s never won those banners at this size of a show.. she was almost in tears, you see, she lost her biggest supporter this past winter, her mom, and all she could say was “I know she’s looking down and smiling” She sure is girl… and this, this right here is why we continue to do this… we can’t all get the blue ribbon and the purple rosettes and the pretty banners… for some of us it’s these little victories that keep the fire burning… I’m so ridiculously proud of Marisa and how far she’s come… thank you to all that helped us this week and that continue to support Brad and me in all this madness…
