Breeding and showing Ayrshires, Brown Swiss, Jerseys, Linebacks and a few Holsteins for over 20 year

09/21/2026

It’s been well over a month since we’ve been home from Illinois State Fair and I’m just getting to posting our results! We took 38 head, 18 of them being cows. All but 3 cows went back in for their respective breed champion drives, about 1/2 of the heifers went back in for their championship drives. In the Ayrshires, all but 3 were bred and owned, Brown Swiss were all bred and owned, this is something Brad and I are very proud to achieve. We were Premier Breeder and Exhibitor in the Ayrshire show! Another highlight and a first, we took only 1 Brown Swiss heifer and she walked away with Supreme Champion of the heifer show! More highlights under the pictures. There’s just too much to post! Thank you to ALL who helped in the ring and back in the barns, I know there were a lot of people coming and going helping to get cows to the ring and we GREATLY appreciate all of you! It truly took a village!

The inaugural Lineback All-American contest didn’t disappoint! We entered 4 and had 3 All-Americans and 1 Reserve! 3 of them homebred and 1 we bought but is out of one of our cows. We’ve worked hard to build a group of Linebacks that look good and perform and we believe this group represents that! Info under the pictures.

I can guarantee she was waiting for you at the gate when you got there, Neil. I can say without you and without this cow, I would never be where I am today. Thank you for all you’ve done for the Ayrshire community. You will be missed, Neil Kittle. Oaxanna has her favorite person back.
