Mass grading is in full swing on this site, and the subgrade is really starting to take shape. Clear skies, good ground, and a crew that knows how to make every pass count.

Congratulations to Kendall O’Bryan on his promotion to General Superintendent! 🎉

Kendall joined Spriggs just over three years ago as an operator, and he’s worked his way up through the ranks by doing what he does best: showing up, planning ahead, and letting his work speak for itself. Now he’s stepping into one of the most important leadership roles on our team.

What stands out most about Kendall isn’t a title. It’s how he’s led along the way. When we asked him what he’s proudest of at Spriggs, he didn’t mention a project or a milestone. He said it’s passing along what he’s learned to the newer crew members to help them grow. That’s the kind of leader we want guiding our crews.

A few fun facts about our new General Superintendent:

He’s originally from Winnfield, Louisiana
His favorite meal is boiled crawfish and shrimp 🦐
He’s team Jaws over Sharknado 🦈
He’d pick the Hulk to win in an arm wrestle against Superman 💪

Testing the ground before we build on it. 🔬

That yellow device is a nuclear density gauge, used to test soil compaction on site. It measures density and moisture content to make sure the ground meets the required specs before construction moves forward. Skipping this step isn't an option, proper compaction is what keeps foundations, roads, and pads stable for the long haul.

It's one more way we make sure every project starts on solid ground.
