I am a self-motivated craftsman and the challenge to find creative solutions to meet any customer’s desire is what continually motivates me. I surround myself with people who are as motivated as I am and I strive to always put forth my best work and bring out the best work of those around me.
• Swiss-born and Swiss-raised
• Formal three-year carpentry & business apprenticeship in Zurich, Switzerland, finishing with excellent grades & exceptional recommendations
• Worked as carpenter in Switzerland, doing carpentry for new construction as well as renovation work on buildings that are hundreds of years old.
• Member of Swiss National Whitewater Canoe & Kayak Team from 1984-1998, winning many Swiss National Championship titles & international medals in whitewater slalom
• Competed in multiple marathons including the Zurich Marathon and Marine Corps Marathon in Washington, D.C., as well as ultra-distance running events. My favorite ultra-distance run is the San Juan Solstice 50 Mile Run
• Starting in 2003 I worked for 2.5 years as draftsman for Janet Wiley Architects, Durango, CO
• In 2006 I started working as a Carpenter for Tierra Custom Homes in Durango, advancing quickly to the position of Field Superintendent. I was employed there for 5 years. Work we do:
• We take a hands-on approach to the entire process, from design to building, to deliver creative and innovative work, rather than cookie-cutter, one size fits all construction.
• Project management, general contracting, remodeling, custom homes, framing, trim carpentry, cabinetry, sheds, fences, small welding projects, and property management.
