Building in the mountains comes with a few more considerations than a beautiful view.

Steep terrain. Natural rock. Mature trees. Challenging access. Snow, drainage, and everything in between.

The site itself becomes part of the design, and understanding how to respond to it is what makes mountain building different.

Pretty views are the bonus. Knowing what to do with the site is the skill.

The funny thing about a well-designed home...

It quietly changes your routine.

You stay outside a little longer.
You light the fire even when it's warm enough not to.
You end the evening in the hot tub instead of in front of the TV.
You stop looking for reasons to get away.
