We just finished this fireplace overhaul. 🔥

It turned out beautifully but it was a tough project and most contractors may not share the hard times, but not all projects go as planned.

And we planned..a lot! We drew plans, we picked out the perfect stone, mantel and wood burning fireplace insert.

…..everything was going just right until the stone went up.

The hearthstone we picked turned out pink, which totally clashed with the white stone. The color was so wrong. 🥴👎🏻

The stone installation with the 45 degree angles, was oh so bad 😖 and the corners did not match up.

So—we tore it all out. We took it all down

We Started over.

🛻I drove down with my truck and trailer to the stone yard and picked out each individual stone with own two eyes 👀. I needed to see the colors because I wasn’t about to trust the samples.

📞I called the stone manufacturer about the 45 degree angle install and found a better way to make the stone match up and be seemless.

Second round—we nailed it. 💪🏻

The custom mantel, the beautiful white ledgestone (with perfectly matching angle’s thanks to .mallinson.12)
paired just right with the WHITE (not pink) heartstone.

Here is what I did do:
✅I made it right
✅Communicated
✅Listened
✅Made sure my clients knew I would see it through

Mt clients and I nicknamed this project “the smallest, longest project ever” 😬🤣

Here is what I didn’t do:
❌Blame my clients
❌Ignored their calls
❌Told them it looked fine
❌Completely ghost them 👻

I may not be the cheapest contractor in town, but I will stand by my work, make sure we remain friends and that YOU are happy no matter what. 🥰

Hey All!!

2023 was a rough year--anyone else?
.....And I needed a break. So I took one. I spent the last four months getting back to myself. I went to a Reiki, got counseling, found myself the most incredible spiritual teacher, meet with pastors, got off coffee, have a very serious hot yoga practice, been meditating daily and cleared my calendar.

At first my mind hated it and wanted to find anything it could do to fill the space. It took hard work to not actually work.

I had been seeking so hard to be successful, wealthy, have a stellar reputation. Pushing, chasing, running. I wasn't able to be present anywhere because my todo list loomed, my calendar prevailed.

The stress from have a drunk driver plow into our shop, losing our home in the Lahaina Fire and then my mother-in-law passing away led to panic attacks and utter burn out filled with tears and so many sleepless nights.

So--I let everything go for awhile. I took a break. I don't think we allow ourselves this. I know I never have. I really didn't have a choice. It was let go or lose myself completely.

Want to know what I figured out??

Everything I need is inside me.

I have access to such depth, courage and guidance right within myself. All I've been chasing was with me all along. I wanted freedom--I found it inside--not out there.

So the other thing is--I figured out what I want to do.

I want to serve you.

Instead of chasing and running and getting, I want to serve.

Here are the ways I want to serve:

Going forward you may see me post about this journey, about real estate, about jobs I'm doing, about what I'm learning.
