This month’s featured plant it the Carolina Sweetheart Redbud. This deciduous tree, developed at N.C. State University, develops gorgeous pink flowers in early spring. But this is just the beginning of this beautiful tree’s characteristics. Purple foliage unfurls to pink, white, and green variegated heart shaped leaves that are even more stunning than the flowers. It grows in full to partial sun and matures to 20’ in height and width.
