A new nature trail has been taking shape at the Tree Trust Landscape Services site in Eagan, thanks in part to the hard work of trainees in our Summer Youth Employment Program (SYEP).

Youth crews have helped clear pathways, improve access, and prepare the space for future visitors to explore and enjoy. This freshly cleared and mulched trail will be open to enjoy at Tree Trust's 50th anniversary celebration on September 12!

We've known that Twin Cities trees are thirsty, but now we're actually starting to see it! 🫣

One sign of dehydration we recognize in people is chapped lips. For trees, drought stress can show up as "chapped" leaves, with brown, crispy edges and curling foliage.

These visible signs are a reminder that our trees need help. During extended periods of hot, dry weather, deep watering can make a big difference, especially for newly planted and young trees.

This is your Tree Trust reminder to help your trees and your community. If you have a tree near your home, take a few minutes to give it a drink. A little water can help our community's urban forest survive drought conditions. Trees need at least 10 to 15 gallons of water per week.
