Matt Richardson is an opto-mechanical engineer, with nearly thirty years of hands-on experience in both the manufacturing and R&D environments. He has work in any and all phases from concept to production, including technical writing and FDA regulatory & compliance. Matt began his technology career in the manufacturing arena, and thus honors his roots by incorporating 'design for manufacturing' principles with new product development.

Architecture

Matt has worked in various fields of technology (bio-instrumentation, metrology, particle counting, medical & industrial alignment, etc.) using laser systems. He has packaged visible and infrared laser diodes into tiny modules as well as more sophisticated and stabilized light engines, incorporating design elements for beam-shaping, mechanical stability, ESD protection, and thermal management.
