Part 2 of the jeep project. Over the winter I welded up a broken steering arm for a customer in Phelps. Got it welded up for him but because the arm was weakened from the original break it broke again after I fixed it so the customer ordered a heavier steering arm and I welded up the eyelet and gussets. It definitely added more strength to it. Glad I could be apart of this project and get him back up and wheeling 🤘🏼

EOS conducted a weld repair on a broken steering arm on this jeep with tracks during a site visit today. Following the successful completion of the repair, the vehicle was operational again. Nevertheless, as the owner was reversing it into the garage, the same steering arm failed again due to its compromised integrity and the significant stress caused by the tracks. As a result, the owner intends to upgrade to heavier-duty steering components and will engage EOS to perform the necessary fabrication and welding work onsite. Part 2 to come.

This Saturday’s project involved repairing a rotted section of frame on a Chevy 1500. An 8-inch crack on the backside of the frame and a section of rot on the bottom required wrapping the area with 2"x 3" and 2"x2" angle iron. Due to thin frame sections, finding solid metal for welding was challenging, necessitating the use of 2x3 angle iron on the backside. Ultimately, the repair was completed, restoring the frame's solidity.
