We kicked off a big project this week and, as always, started with detailed prep to keep the client’s home clean, protected, and as disruption-free as possible. We’ll be adding an orange peel texture to the walls in three rooms on the main level, then painting all of the ceilings and walls throughout the main floor.

We’re also painting all doors along with the door and window trim to give everything a clean, consistent look. In the kitchen, we’ll be installing a custom board-and-batten detail on the island, refinishing all of the cabinets, and upgrading the doors with new soft-close hinges for a smoother, more modern feel.

Big transformation ahead — stay tuned for progress and before-and-after shots.

This cabinet set was taken from a dark stained finish to a custom-matched white using a full refinishing process.

The color was matched by Flanagan Paint & Supply Co. and finished with Centurion cabinet coatings, applied by spray for a consistent, factory-grade finish.

Stain-to-paint conversions require more than just paint — proper surface prep, tannin control, adhesion-focused primers, and controlled spray application are what prevent bleed-through, texture issues, and premature failure.

This system is designed for durability, clean lines, and long-term performance — not quick turnarounds or brush-on results.

✨ Ceiling & Wall Refresh — Start to Finish ✨

We just wrapped up a project where we completely transformed this room from top to bottom. We removed the old popcorn and crow’s-foot texture, repaired failing seams and cracked angles, applied two full skim coats, and sanded everything smooth for a flawless finish.

After the prep was dialed in, we painted the ceiling Flat white and finished the walls in Sherwin-Williams Classic French Gray — a timeless, calming color that really elevates the space.

Taking a room from textured and tired to clean and modern is one of our favorite kinds of projects. The results speak for themselves.
