A very warm and unstable air mass will evolve across the region this afternoon. This warm air may result in record high temperatures this afternoon, but more importantly is expected to produce favorable conditions for severe thunderstorms from later this afternoon through tonight. Severe thunderstorms are likely that will be capable of producing very large hail, damaging winds, and tornadoes. A few strong and long-track tornadoes are possible within the Moderate Risk Area. The majority of the severe weather is expected to occur after dark, so be prepared to take action! The public is urged to keep up to date with the latest forecasts and review their safety rules and safety plans now.

Leaks can occur when a roof is improperly installed. Over time, those leaks create damage to structural members and will inevitably lead to water damage inside a residence.
