Spencer Home Improvements is seeking a skilled and reliable carpenter to assist with the construction of a structural elevated deck frame. The ideal candidate is an experienced tradesperson who can read and work from basic framing plans and is competent in post, beam, ledger, and joist layout using dimensional lumber and hardware.
This position will begin as a hands-on assistant role, with the opportunity to assume greater responsibility and independence if your performance demonstrates consistent reliability, technical skill, and attention to detail.
What We’re Looking For
-Minimum 5 years of verifiable experience in residential carpentry or framing
-Proficiency in structural deck framing, layout, and material handling
-Ability to interpret simple deck plans or confidently assist in executing one
-Dependable, self-motivated, and efficient work ethic
-Safety-conscious and respectful on-site demeanor
-Punctuality, professionalism, and a willingness to take direction are essential
-Own basic hand tools and PPE
-Capable of lifting heavy materials and working at heights
-Ability to work unsupervised after initial evaluation
-Potential to transition to a subcontractor role if proven capable
