A customer recently called us because their garbage disposal had stopped working. After inspecting the unit, we found that the disposal had failed and needed to be replaced. We installed a new garbage disposal and got their kitchen back up and running.

💡 Garbage Disposal Tip:
If you have a garbage disposal, be sure to run it regularly with plenty of hot water. Disposals that sit unused for long periods can seize up, develop internal corrosion, plug up due to lack of use or experience motor failure over time.

A little routine use and maintenance can help extend the life of your disposal and keep it operating properly.

If your garbage disposal is making unusual noises, leaking, or not turning on, give us a call at 860-443-7565 before a small issue becomes a bigger repair!

Here is another episode of us being boat mechanics again!

A customer recently purchased a boat that had been dry docked for a long time. We replaced the toilet and hand pump, installed a new constant pressure water pump, and replaced a leaking valve on the water heater.

While getting everything back in working order, we discovered the fresh water tank was full of sludge from sitting unused for so long. The buildup repeatedly clogged the inlet filter before the pump, causing ongoing flow issues.

To correct the problem, we drained and flushed the fresh water tank multiple times and then chlorinated the entire system to help clean and sanitize it. After several rounds of flushing, the water system was operating properly again.

Not every plumbing job is in a house—sometimes we're out on the water bringing neglected systems back to life!

This water pressure tank had a double failure: not only did the bladder fail, but the tank also developed a pinhole leak in the back. The homeowner noticed the water tank was leaking in the basement.

We replaced the tank under warranty, restored proper system pressure, and got everything back up and running.

If you're experiencing fluctuating water pressure, short-cycling pumps, or notice any leaks around your pressure tank, it's worth having it checked before a small issue becomes a bigger problem.

A customer recently called us because their well pump was short cycling. After inspecting the system, we found that the pressure tank had become waterlogged and was no longer functioning properly.

We replaced the pressure tank and got the system back up and running smoothly.

Did you know? Pressure tanks typically have a lifespan of around 10 years. If your tank is 10 years old or older, preventative replacement can help avoid unexpected failures and protect your well pump from unnecessary wear and damage.

If you're experiencing issues with your water system or would like your equipment inspected, give us a call at 860-443-7565. We're here to help keep your water flowing reliably!

Leak in the ground between the well and the house? No problem.

In this case, we were able to run a new water line using a cable-pulling tool, which allowed us to avoid digging up the customer's beautiful landscaping.

By using the right equipment and techniques, we minimized disruption while restoring water service quickly and efficiently.

If you're experiencing low water pressure, unusually high water bills, or suspect an underground leak, give us a call. We're here to help!

We recently got called out to a job where a city water line was leaking underground.

When we got on-site, the roots were simply too thick to dig through safely due to underground power lines. The tree was planted way too close to the line, creating a massive underground roadblock.

The Solution: We had to call in backup! A professional tree company came out to safely remove the tree so our team could finally get to the pipe and make the necessary repairs.

Pro-Tip for Homeowners: Always be mindful of where you plant trees! Deep, aggressive root systems will naturally seek out moisture, and a tiny hairline crack in a pipe can attract them like a magnet. Keep trees a safe distance away from your main water and sewer lines to avoid a costly headache down the road.

Need an underground leak located or repaired? We've got the tools (and the connections) to get it done. 📞 860-443-7565

We recently conducted a water test for a homeowner preparing to sell their home and discovered the water tested positive for coliform bacteria along with elevated pH levels.

After reviewing the results, our supplier recommended installing a UV system to address the bacteria concerns and a neutralizer system to help balance the pH levels.

If you’re buying or selling a home and need water testing or treatment solutions, feel free to reach out to our office at 860-443-7565.

A bad jet assembly in this well caused the homeowner to lose water. He was not sure where his well was located and we could not find it. We had to bring in an excavator, dig up the well, pull the well piping, and replaced the faulty jet assembly to get everything working correctly again.

This before and after picture shows what the difference between the old and new jet assembly. Another well system back up and running properly for the homeowner. It is always important to know where your well is located. If your well is direct buried, we recommend having a well casing extension or concrete well tile installed to avoid having to pay for equipment to find it when your system goes down.

Winter damage strikes again! This outside shower froze and split over the winter due to failed shut-off valves inside the home.

We not only repaired the split piping, but also upgraded the shower with a brand-new faucet featuring anti-scald protection for added safety and reliability. We also replaced the faulty interior shut-off valves to help prevent future freeze damage.

Another outdoor shower restored and protected for seasons to come! 🔧🚿❄️
