Introducing Debbie McGinley, a Methacton School Board Candidate
Debbie McGinley, affectionately known as Dj, is no stranger to the Methacton community. Having been a part of it for over 25 years and raising three Methacton graduates, she's deeply rooted in its fabric.
Debbie's work ethic became evident at 15 when she began working with her mother. Their bond strengthened when they collaborated in a family-owned salon alongside Debbieโs grandmother and sister, Nicole. Later, Debbie broadened her horizons with L'Orรฉal. For 32 years, she traveled, taught in salons, and trained educators. Her journey underscores the value she places on education and the pivotal role of trade schools, like Montco, in fostering skills for life and business.
Beyond her career, Debbie has a heart for community service. Her volunteer work includes contributions to the Ronald McDonald House and Montgomery County Children and Youth programs, highlighting her commitment to local causes.
Her experience and relationships give her a unique perspective regarding the educational experience being provided at Methacton. She has listened to the voices of students and parents to fully understand the effects of masks, social distancing and virtual learning resulting in social isolation, depression, increased bullying, and decreasing engagement and test scores.
Debbie's commitment to ensuring every child in the Methacton district receives the highest quality education and is provided with the best guidance for their career path is unwavering. As a candidate, she embodies the principles and values that make Methacton great, and with her at the helm, the district can only soar higher.
Debbie looks forward to collaborating with the community, parents, and educators, ensuring every Methacton student receives quality education and direction for their future.
For Debbie, it's about service, commitment, and ensuring the best for Methacton's next generation. Please vote for Debbie this November because IT IS TIME FOR A CHANGE.
