HOME REMODELING FACT OF THE DAY: Laminate flooring can cost about half the price of hardwood flooring, but, as with wood, you'll find a range of varying quality. Some look more realistic than others, and some are less substantial in the thickness of the different layers, making them more likely to wear out earlier than a higher quality product. Typically, you will find laminate options that start at less than $ 1 per square foot and exceed $ 5 per square foot. 🤑👍
👉 However, always keep in mind that laminate flooring is not a material that will add long-term real estate value to your home, although it can be a good way to quickly and inexpensively renovate a bad floor. If you want the best selling value for your home, hardwood and engineered wood flooring give you a better value. ⚠️

Studio apartments are generally around 500 sq. ft. with a separate bathroom and kitchenette, with most of that area creating the living space. Since studios often consist of the main room, you will live in a central space, but don't worry even with space limitations, you can transform your studio into a home, it just requires creativity and a well-thought-out strategy! 😁

👷👨‍🔧 HOME REMO FACT OF THE DAY: Linoleum, the original tough floor covering, is gaining new popularity. The resurgence of interest in linoleum is due in part to the muted colors and tones with which it is associated, but also to its practical benefits, being naturally resistant to bacteria 🦠 and has antistatic qualities that facilitate cleaning (repels dust). 🧹And as a side note, linoleum tiles are installed using the same techniques as for vinyl floors.

OLD HOUSE?
Foundation problems in older homes are very common and must be addressed to keep the home livable. This project was one of the most interesting, a farm from the early 1900s in the heart of Okanogan County. Good bones, but as an old oak tree, time clearly passed.
Cracks in the interior and exterior walls, doors that will not close, windows that will not open, uneven floors and stairs led us to a strategic repair! But nothing that with a little patience, love and work cannot be solved, giving new life to a classic home.
