It is with great sadness that we share the passing of our founding partner, Richard S. "Dick" Taylor.

Established as R-J Taylor, General Contractors in 1984, by leveraging long-term relationships, Richard Taylor saw opportunity in design build where he could be an integral part of a team, helping projects move from concept through design and construction.

Richard “Dick” Taylor forged his own path to success through hard work, determination, and hands-on experience. Starting as a humble mason in Cleveland, Ohio, Dick quietly established his own style of project management and leadership skills, with subsequent ownership on the horizon. More than that, Dick showed how all people, owner, subcontractor, should be treated in a fair business relationship.

Today, because of Dick’s vision and leadership, TAYLOR – The Builders has evolved with their clients, growing, and changing to meet their needs. We are forging new links for the future, combining tomorrow’s technology with our strengths of honesty and integrity from the past.

To learn more about Dick's life and legacy, please visit his obituary:

Our thoughts and prayers are with the entire Taylor family during this difficult time.
