Today Walter, Bob and myself had Walter’s Wellfleet Rendezvous.
This is an opportunity for folks to tryout various boats all propelled by oar. The idea is to explore the idea of rowing in “ good” boats that do what they do well.
We had a beautiful day after missing two years to Nor’ Easter’s.

The start of refinish, restore, make functional. An 18 foot replica / sort of copy of a Chris Craft. My mission if I accept is make it presentable for use and get it to run/ operate.

So when a boatbuilder has a day off some go rowing. We went to the Hull Lifesaving Museum’s Snow Row. Attendance was somewhere around 300+ rowers and 50 boats. Most were fixed seat traditional boats from singles to 8 oared gigs. The course was 3 1/2 miles of open water. Great people , great show and lots of fun.
