Long day
Snow blower auger stopped working at the first property so I hand shovel the first seven
Finally got to change the snapped auger pins and was able to get the last three properties finished
Was hoping to get some pics and vids for FB but was too aggravated
Thanks to all my customers who offered water and coffee, you're the best

With the warmer weather upon us, it's important to make sure we're properly watering our residential lawns. Here are some tips to keep your grass looking lush and green:

Water deeply and infrequently: Give your lawn a good soaking once a week, rather than light watering every day. This will encourage your grass to grow deeper roots, making it more resilient during droughts.

Water early in the morning: Watering early in the morning allows the grass to absorb the moisture before the heat of the day sets in. This also helps prevent water loss from evaporation.

Use a sprinkler system or a hose with a spray nozzle: Make sure your lawn is receiving an even distribution of water. Using a sprinkler system or a hose with a spray nozzle can help ensure every inch of your lawn is being watered.

Check for signs of overwatering: Be mindful of how much water your lawn is receiving. Signs of overwatering include yellowing grass, fungal growth, and a spongy feel when you walk on it.

Remember, proper lawn watering is not only good for the environment, but also helps maintain a healthy lawn. Happy watering!

Hey friends! Are you looking for an easy way to improve your garden or landscaping? Consider installing mulch! Not only does it make your outdoor space look tidy and put-together, but it also comes with a ton of benefits:

Mulch helps retain moisture in the soil, reducing the need for frequent watering.
It can suppress w**d growth, saving you time and effort.
Mulch insulates soil from extreme temperatures, protecting plant roots and promoting healthy growth.
As it breaks down, mulch adds nutrients to the soil, supporting plant health and vitality.
So if you haven't already, give mulch a try! Contact me today @ [email protected] or msg me at (570) 550-3419. Your plants (and your back!) will thank you.

Maintaining a healthy and lush lawn is not as complicated as you might think. With some basic lawn care techniques, you can keep your lawn looking green and vibrant all season long. Here are some essential lawn care basics that every homeowner should know.

Mowing: Regular mowing is an essential part of lawn care. It helps to keep your grass healthy and prevents it from getting too tall, which can lead to a host of problems. The general rule of thumb is to mow your lawn once a week during the growing season, but you should adjust your mowing schedule based on your grass type and weather conditions. When mowing, make sure to set your mower blade to the right height, so you don't cut your grass too short, which can damage it.

Watering: Watering is another critical aspect of lawn care. Most grass types need around 1 inch of water per week, either from rain or irrigation. It's essential to water deeply and infrequently, rather than frequently and shallowly, to encourage deeper root growth. Watering in the morning is the best time because it allows the grass to dry before nightfall, which can prevent disease.

Fertilizing: Fertilizing is crucial for providing your lawn with the nutrients it needs to grow healthy and strong. Most lawns need to be fertilized two to four times a year, depending on the grass type and soil conditions. It's important to choose the right type of fertilizer for your lawn and follow the instructions carefully.

Aeration: Over time, the soil beneath your lawn can become compacted, which can make it difficult for your grass roots to get the air, water, and nutrients they need. Aeration is the process of creating small holes in the soil to allow for better air and water circulation. Aeration can be done with aeration shoes, manual or gas-powered aerators, or lawn care companies can provide the service for you.

W**d Control: W**ds can take over your lawn quickly, so it's essential to control them as soon as possible. The best way to prevent w**ds is to maintain a healthy lawn by following the other lawn care basics. If you do get w**ds, you can pull them by hand, or use an herbicide to kill them. It's important to choose an herbicide that is safe for your grass type and follow the instructions carefully.

Overseeding: Over time, your grass can become thin and patchy, making it more vulnerable to w**ds and other problems. Overseeding is the process of spreading grass seed over your existing lawn to fill in thin or patchy areas. It's best to overseed in the fall, but you can also do it in the spring.

In conclusion, lawn care basics are essential for maintaining a healthy and beautiful lawn. Mowing, watering, fertilizing, aeration, w**d control, and overseeding are all critical components of lawn care. With these techniques, you can keep your lawn looking green and vibrant all season long. Remember, a healthy lawn is a happy lawn!

Hey everyone, hope your holidays have been good.

Spring is just around the corner and I'm excited to get back to cutting!

I'm now scheduling dethatching and aeration for the upcoming weeks.

Dethatching will remove the excess dead grass from the base layers of your turf and allow water and soil nutrients to more readily be absorbed into the roots your your grass while aeration punches holes into the soil, decreasing soil compaction and also allowing nutrients, and water to be more accessible.

Contact me @ [email protected] or call/text me at 570-550-3419 if you're interested in scheduling these services of if you're just interested in getting weekly lawn care set up. I look forward to hearing from you.
