Wrappin up the finishing touches on some beams and other projects this morning while rest of the crew starts another trim job.

Wrapping up last punch list items on this one today. Trimmed out with prefinished stained casing base and doors. Hickory cabinets throughout. Most work we do is painted — stain grade is a different animal.
Painted work, somebody can come back and cover your sins. Stain? That's on you. Joints better be tight. You go through your material, match the grain, match the shades — it adds a whole different dimension to the job.

We've had a few of these over the last few years. This time the whole team knew exactly what to do. Was pretty cool watching the "new guy" sort and match the pieces knowing exactly which ones to put inside linnen closets and what to install on the front door.

Trim package in progress on this remodel—We are installing finish details and built-ins as part of a larger project led by another contractor. New cabinets, custom bench, and clean lines coming together.

Final trim and punch work underway at the Howell job. Custom wainscoting, walk-in pantry, mudroom built-ins, and coffered ceilings coming together. Coordinating with other trades to keep things moving on schedule.

Wrapping up the final touches on this home we trimmed out a few weeks ago. Painters did a great job on our modern style rail system .

Spent a couple hours this morning finishing up the final punch list items on this home we did the finish carpentry on. Really like seeing everything come together at the end of each job.

Latest house we trimmed. We did this family’s home five years ago, and when they moved to Howell they told their new builder they wanted us on the job again. Nearly 8,000 sq ft, heavy on built-ins, beams, and a big great room with 12-inch beams and coffered ceilings.

Wrapped up two homes last week, including one with a modern rail system we were pretty happy with. Also finished up punch work on three houses we’d trimmed out earlier — a few detail pics from one of those here.

Always good seeing everything come together at the end. Next week we start on the biggest home we’ve ever trimmed… should be a fun one. Lots of pics coming.
