Yesterday, I checked out two conservation dams that I built last year. Land conservation, and wildlife habitat, are greatly enhanced with these structures.

I just finished the earthworks on this conservation dam. This one is on my home farm. It's the sixth one that I've built on this farm. Gotta seed and mulch it yet, then it's finished.

These men were the best. No generation will ever surpass their generation.

Crazy to think that in only 78 years we went from fighting like hell to save western civilization to just giving it away for peanuts. Hard times create strong men, strong men create good times, good times create weak men, weak men create hard times (we are here). Remember these badass dudes and how much they struggled and died to defeat the tyrants and preserve some good in the world.

I've got this silage bunker subgrade done. 6 inches of gravel will be graded to the top of the wooden hubs to reach the final grade. The pink whiskers on the hubs help to facilitate the grade progression from the cab of the grader.

I did some after hours maintenance work at Sportsman Field last night. The Elmwood Expos are doing an excellent job keeping this ballfield one of the best venues around in western Wisconsin.
