Down East Preservation Construction and Design LLC

Down East Preservation Construction and Design LLC Down East Preservation promotes the preservation of history of Eastern North Carolina.

We restore privately owned homes, commercial buildings, and structures purchased by the company. Our thoughtful craft and design approach provides clients with a finished product that maintains the original fabric of a structure with a nod towards modern living. In 2022, Down East Preservation added an additional branch of services to our offerings: Down East Properties. Down East Properties build

s custom homes that encompass historical architectural elements of Edenton. Throughout these homes, our team utilizes a unique mixture of modern building techniques and materials with salvaged materials and finishes. The finished home provides our clients with a space that illustrates modern living infused with historical architecture. We offer our clients the option of custom cabinetry and hand crafted signature pieces created by our team at Circa 1712 (Down East Wood Shop). Circa 1712 has one foot squarely planted in the past, with their name reflecting the founding date of Edenton, NC. Our Master Craftsmen use techniques and knowledge of historical architecture to create one of a kind pieces that are unsurpassed in quality and proportion. This craft approach sets the standard for clients who desire truly unique and custom kitchens, furnishings, and wood based art pieces. Our on-site design center aims to provide clients with the opportunity to work directly with an interior designer in order to create a one of a kind space. Our showroom includes samples of fabrics, furniture, tile, cabinets, wallpaper, light fixtures, rugs, countertop surfaces, antiques, and signature pieces of furniture created by our Master Craftsmen at Circa 1712. Our interior designers assist clients with viewing samples, making selections, design plans, and the installation process.

This project is a true symbol of historic preservation and what can happen when a community comes together. A special congratulations to the choir and sister Sadie who got to march them in just like she told us she would back in December!
