Beech Street Woodwork

Beech Street Woodwork Small one man shop specializing in custom cabinets. Experience in building homes from the ground up, so I have a working knowledge of most projects.

Beech Street Woodwork is a small business that I started after having worked in the cabinet/home building/remodeling business for about 12 years. My employer at the time, Robert Franz, was having some health problems and was forced to suspend business operations indefinitely. I had been doing some work "on the side" for a while, so I just continued on. More jobs kept coming in, so I just continued. Eight years later, work has slowed over the winter so here I am promoting my business.

Another job done! New countertops, change from range-top in the old counter-top to a full range with new base cabinets on either side, and new base and upper corner cabinets replacing a full height unit with no counter-top involved. The microwave will go in the center of the upper corner unit. Lots of head-scratching involved. On to the next job, which is mostly finished. No more working on two jobs at the same time!

Pics of the latest cabinet job. The pantry replaced the refrigerator and the fridge, plus the small cabinet above, was relocated and had a broom closet added. The lower pullout has an insert to store spices. The lower drawer has adjustable dowels to accommodate different sized dishes to prevent them from sliding around. Interesting job!

Kitchen refacing and new counter top. The color came out kind of yellow on the photo, but it's closer to the shot of just the uppers. I forgot to take a before. It was painted white uppers with green base units. Veneered the cabinets, made new drawers, drawer fronts and doors, and installed a new countertop.

Lots of work to take it all apart and put it back together right-side-up! Actually, didn't take a right-side-up "before" shot before I lacquered. First time I sprayed colored lacquer. Turned out pretty nice.

My Story

Beech Street Woodwork is a small business that I started after having worked in the cabinet/home building/remodeling business for about 12 years. After becoming “semi-retired”, I’m hoping to limit my work to more cabinet-type work, which does not mean that I’m not available for other projects. Just trying to not kill myself on roofs and ladders. Gettin’ old(er)! I am always more than happy to sit down with anyone to discuss potential projects, as I have been doing this work, from the foundation to the ridge cap, for a long time. I may not have seen it all, but I’ve seen a lot. Give me a call! 715-352-2055
