Last week, our crew kicked off another Amazon project in Eagan, Minnesota!

We’re tackling approximately 30,000 square feet of concrete polishing, transforming the existing concrete into a durable, polished surface built to handle the demands of a busy commercial facility.

With our SASE grinders running, dust extraction systems working, and crews focused on the details, we’re making steady progress across the space.

From VCT to Polished Concrete — Reeds Market Transformation!

Another great example of what goes into transforming an existing concrete floor, especially in an open and operating grocery store!

Our team has been making great progress at Reeds Market, taking the floors through multiple stages to achieve a beautiful polished concrete finish.

✅ VCT & Glue Removal – Removing the existing flooring and adhesive to expose the concrete underneath.

✅ Surface Preparation & Grout Coat – Grinding and preparing the concrete, followed by a grout coat to fill imperfections and improve the finished appearance.

✅ Full Concrete Polish – Progressing through the polishing stages to deliver a durable, attractive, low-maintenance floor.

The unique challenge? The store stays open during the day while our crews work through the night.

Each night, our team comes in, transforms another section of flooring, and prepares the area for the store to continue operating the following day.

Projects like this require careful planning, coordination, and a crew willing to put in the overnight hours to get the job done without interrupting business.

It’s rewarding to see the transformation happen section by section!

2 million square feet walked. 5 floors. One massive project!

Today our team walked approximately 2 million square feet across five floors of a facility that’s even larger than that!

We’re currently polishing 30,000 square feet of concrete and 80,000 square feet of grind and seal at this facility, but that’s just one part of our scope.

During today’s walkthrough, we were shown approximately 325 individual areas, ranging from 5’ x 5’ to 10’ x 5’, where the concrete is high and needs to be ground down.

That’s hundreds of individual locations spread throughout an enormous facility, all requiring careful planning, coordination, and precision.

Projects like this are a great example of how much more there is to our industry than just polishing floors. The logistics alone are a challenge, especially when work is spread across multiple floors and millions of square feet.

It’s exciting to see The Concrete Guy continuing to take on projects of this size and complexity.

And it’s safe to say our team got their steps in today!

We love getting feedback like this.

In our line of work, it’s pretty rare that someone actually stops and notices the details. Most of the time, if we did our job right, the floor just looks like it was supposed to look.

Cornerpost is wrapped up, and the site superintendent told our crew it was the best edging he’s seen in his time in construction.

That means a lot.

The details matter. The edges matter. The parts most people never think about matter.

Proud of the team for taking the extra time to do it right.

Quality is the difference.
