🌱 FALL AERATION SEASON IS HERE 🌱

Seeing nutsedge popping up this season? It can be a sign that certain areas of your lawn are holding too much moisture or dealing with compacted soil.

But here’s the important part: not every lawn needs overseeding.

Even a thick, healthy-looking lawn can benefit from core aeration only. Aeration helps relieve soil compaction, improves the movement of water, air, and nutrients into the root zone, and gives your turf a better environment to stay strong.

If your lawn already has good density, there may be no reason to throw seed at it just because it’s fall.

🌱 Doctor Lawn — Billing Update

As we continue to grow, we’re making a small change to simplify billing and keep our focus where it belongs — on your lawn, not chasing invoices.

Going forward, a valid credit/debit card will be required on file for all recurring service customers.

You’ll still have flexibility in how you prefer to pay:

💳 Per Visit — charged after each completed service
📅 Monthly — services billed together each month
🌱 Seasonal Prepay — pay for your remaining scheduled services in advance

Your card information will be stored securely through our payment processor — Doctor Lawn does not store your actual card information.

This change will help us spend less time on billing and follow-ups and more time providing the reliable, thorough service you expect.

Current customers: We’ll be reaching out individually with instructions for securely adding your payment method.

If you're thinking about improving your lawn, I highly recommend scheduling aeration and overseeding this fall. It's made a huge difference in my yard!

Nick has done an outstanding job, and my lawn has definitely improved year after year thanks to this process. The grass is thicker, healthier, and fills in much better after the summer heat.

🍄 Mushrooms in Your Lawn? Don’t Panic! 🍄

Seeing mushrooms pop up all over your lawn?

Believe it or not, they’re usually a sign of healthy soil biology—not a lawn disease.

Mushrooms grow when:
✅ We’ve had plenty of rain.
✅ The soil stays moist.
✅ They’re feeding on decaying organic matter like old roots, buried wood, or thatch.

The mushrooms themselves won’t harm your grass and often disappear once the lawn dries out.

What should you do?

* Mow or pick them if you don’t like the appearance.
* Avoid overwatering.
* Let the soil dry between watering cycles.

🍂 If your lawn is compacted, fall core aeration is one of the best ways to improve airflow, reduce compaction, and encourage stronger root growth. It’s also the perfect time to overseed and thicken up the lawn for next year.
