Just wrapped up this ceiling job. Termites had damaged the ceiling joists and could no longer support the weight of the old plaster ceiling. It came crashing down just before my client's bed time😳! After finishing the demolition job the termites started (and being sure there was no active colony), I installed insulation, leveled the ceiling, and installed sheetrock. After texture, paint, a new light fixture, and some touch ups to the floor, the room is good to go!

Seriously though, this show and This Old House (and the knowledge my grandpa and uncle imparted along the way) are why I repair houses today. My own, and other people's. This Saturday morning started like most Saturday mornings in my childhood. Minus the cartoons and plus coffee.

Yesterday I got the opportunity to install flagstone pavers. I was a bit sore, but no worse for wear. Woke up today to go on my Saturday morning bike ride. Nope. Every part of my body is reminding me of yesterday's shenanigans. 😂
