Thrifty Thursday

Many call it “keeping junk”.

We prefer the term “future flower planters”.

This week, a rusty feeder, an old metal ring, and a weathered wooden piece all got a second chance at life with a little soil, a few flowers, and some imagination.

At Dave’s Tree Services, we spend our days caring for living things, so maybe it’s no surprise we hate throwing old things away. Sometimes all they need is a second chance to bloom.

WOODYARD WEDNESDAY

We've reached that point in the week where we're not sure if we're selling mulch, trimming trees, or just providing emotional support to customers who can't decide which mulch color they want.

Chocolate?
Cedar?
Black?
Brown?
Light Brown?

Meanwhile, our crew is over here thinking:

"Yep. That's definitely mulch."

Whatever color you choose, we've got piles of it waiting for a new home.

The good news? There's no wrong answer. Fresh mulch makes everything look better.

The first day of June has arrived. Mulch season continues to be in full swing from dawn till dusk. Rooster showed remarkable dedication to his job-today and every day!!

This Memorial Day, we pause to honor and remember the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. 🇺🇸

Some connections aren’t made by blood… they’re made by heart.

This Saturday, we’ll be at the Lucia Strong Kentucky Derby Benefit for Lucia Ramirez at Fernwood Gardens from 3–7pm.

Lucia’s family is family to us—and we’ll be showing up the best way we know how:
together, as a community.

In true Door County fashion, there will be flowers, hats, horses… and most importantly,
people rallying around someone who needs it.

We’re proud to stand beside them. Always. 🌳💜

Our “white” lab has been spending a little too much time next to the chocolate mulch…
Pretty sure he thinks he’s just one nap away from becoming a chocolate lab 🤎
