Hurricane Hilary is a category 4 and should be downgrading to a tropical storm. If you lose power during the storm and you can safely make it to your main electrical panel, turn off all of the breakers until they restore power in your neighborhood. Then turn your breakers back on one at a time. This will avoid power surges through your home and damages to your electronics and appliances. This young girl died because the last person in this box did not use the right type of wire connectors. The splicing in this box should have been rated for direct burrial or wet location style connectors.. the last electrician that was in this box used a dry type of connector in a box that is in the ground. You would think that maybe it will rain one day and it will get wet. . The sad thing is that I see this all over the place. People just don't get it, they try and save a buck but they are putting themselves and others at risk. This was in a public, in city streets you would think that the city has good electricians. SO SO sad
