Adkins Ranch & Land Care

This month, we're excited to spotlight the owner and operator of Adkins Ranch & Land Care, a local business serving El Dorado County and the Sierra foothills.

From ranch and land maintenance to fire-safe brush clearing, fence work, weekly property chores, and special projects, he takes a hands-on approach to every job. Whether he's bidding a project, running equipment, or working directly in the field, his goal is simple: helping property owners keep their land working for them, not against them.

Beyond the business, his commitment to the local community runs deep. For the third year, he volunteers as a Fire Lookout at CAL FIRE's Pilot Peak Lookout, scanning for smoke during fire season and helping crews respond quickly. That experience has also shaped his approach to defensible space and fire safety for his clients.

Most importantly, he's a dad first. Building his own business has given him the flexibility to work hard while still showing up for the moments that matter with his kids.

Checking properties, fence lines and more are some of the things we do for our clients. One of our clients asked how we check fence lines when it's long distances and can't drive, if we walk the whole thing. Yes we walk the fence line, but sometimes we do use our dirtbike.
